半溪村是船埔镇下辖的行政村，自然村有方田仔、高棚窝、岗子里，另有石校、上半溪、崩塘下，共六处。全村人口2076人。[1][2]

村名的来历：两条小溪绕村而流，各取一半汇入村口的水口，故名半溪。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

清初已有人迁来开辟村落。1978年分出自成大队；1983年并入乡建制；1987年设立村委会；1989年改为管理区办事处；1999年才改称村委会，沿用至今。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村子四周群山环抱，村南有里后公路通过。[2]

经济[edit]

耕地563亩，山地6999亩。农作以水稻、甘薯为主，果品中青梅、橄榄与菠萝较为突出。[2]

文化[edit]

英歌舞在村中已有上百年的历史，草鞋是其中的装备；近年村里也将英歌舞与青梅、乌橄榄两项产业结合起来宣传。[3]
