大洋村是船埔镇下辖的行政村，自然村有新寮、大塘、兼财坝、赤径，另有崩坎仔、玉免洋、杨梅树，共七处。全村人口2656人。[1]

村名由大塘、玉免洋两个自然村的名字各取一字合成。里坪公路穿村而过，村子属革命老区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村原属船埔乡。1983年并入乡建制，1987年析出设立村委会；其后经管理区办事处阶段，1999年改为村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村有耕地715亩，山地4776亩。稻田与甘薯是主要农作，果园多种青梅、橄榄与菠萝。村中有完全小学一所。[1]
