村子在普宁市区西偏南约34公里处，属革命老区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1960年设西溪大队，1984年并入乡建制，1987年另立村委会，1999年才定为现在的村委会名称。[1]

经济[edit]

村有耕地341亩、山地5640亩。农作以水稻、甘薯为主，果品有青梅、橄榄、菠萝、油甘与香蕉。村中有水泥道通往镇区，建有50千瓦小水电站一座，另有小学一所和医疗站一个。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
