名称与历史[edit]
清光绪年间（公元1875年至1908年），王姓一支从陆丰八万迁来定居。房屋建在半山的埔地上，村名由此而来。[1]
村子1950年3月起归普宁县。1958年并入南阳山公社，1966年由农场分出，成为大坪公社埔岭大队。1986年大坪设镇后称埔岭村委会，1999年定名沿用至今。[1]
地理与产业[edit]
村内有耕地703亩、山地5900亩，以水稻、甘薯和花生为主要作物，其中青梅最为突出。[1]
