下营村是高埔镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的西南部，南面与陆丰市接壤，崩坎至大坪的公路穿村而过。[1]

沿革[edit]

此前归惠来县，新中国成立后改属普宁县。1958年公社化时并入一个大队，1972年才单独建队。1983年高埔公社改为区，此地设下营乡；1986年改为村委会，1990年成为管理区，1999年又恢复村委会的名称，沿用至今。[1]

自然与资源[edit]

村下辖9个自然村。惠来隆江上游的洋溪河流经村境，村内有后山水库一座。[1]

村中有一处温泉，水温达46.5℃，设有玉龙温泉休闲中心，可洗浴、用餐和住宿。村中山林较多，林木资源丰富。[1]

产业[edit]

村中的农作物以水果为大宗，青梅与荔枝产量较大，村子是高埔镇青梅基地的组成部分。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，下营村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

下营村在2019年12月由国家林业和草原局评定的「国家森林乡村」名录中有名。[1]

2020年8月，下营村入选广东省首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，产业为青梅。[1]
