上寮村为池尾街道下辖的行政村，在普宁市区西北，处于池尾交通要冲，房屋沿广汕公路两侧排布。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村落由三个相连的自然村构成，即上寮、池尾与曲溪头，西侧接通池揭公路。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明末清初，潮阳和平一带有人迁来，以草寮为居所；村址位于下市圩上方，遂得名上寮。[1]

旧社会时期土地瘠薄，旱灾频繁，多数村民是佃户；新中国成立后修建水利，寒妈水库建成，农田改为自流灌溉。[1]

经济[edit]

村中有集体企业和个体企业，主要生产服装、塑料和食品。[1]

2020年、2021年和2022年，上寮村列入淘宝村名单。2021年9月，广东省农业农村厅公布的「第二批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单中有上寮村，产业为蔬菜。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

林氏昌平祠为近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑，列为县级文物保护单位。[1]

文化[edit]

村属革命老区。辖区内有中学和小学。[1]
