村名的来历，据博雅地名网：村子处在崩坎、龙江两条溪流的汇合处，故名溪口。[1]

明初，曾、麦、梁、林、欧等姓在此聚居。[1]

溪口村于2023年5月获广东省爱卫会评定，属「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

2009年底，全村总人口4980人。耕地1355亩，其中水田665亩、山地2500亩。村民以农业生产和外出经商为主。[1]
