长青村是东港镇的行政村，位于惠来县西南，与陆丰华侨区相邻，距县城约50公里。村名雅称长青，缘于溪边一种常青的植物。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明嘉靖末期（约1558年前后），林、钟、刘诸氏自福建迁来定居。此前已有罗、古二姓聚居，因东西两溪环绕，村名曾作罗古溪。[2]

溪旁生有一种四季常青的野菠萝，当地称为劳投，溪因此俗称劳投溪，村名则雅称长青。[2]

1949年村并入一个乡，行政中心设在邻村。此后隶属鳌江公社与葵潭农场，1962年再归鳌江公社。1973年东港设公社后，长青拆出为独立的大队。[2]

1983年改为长青乡政府，1987年为长青管理区，1999年定为长青村委会至今。[2]

著名人物[edit]

林乔梧生于1751年，卒于1829年，字世标，号碧岩，早年因仇斗离乡，后捐得州同，曾任兵部车驾司主事，并受派任户部宝泉局监督。[3]

邓林梅生于1714年，卒于1768年，字景行，号介峰，乾隆九年中举，乾隆十九年中进士。林家浚生于1841年，卒于1917年，字剑泉，光绪二年得中副榜。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。2022年10月，村被列入「第六批中国传统村落」名录，据博雅地名网所记；县委巡察反馈则称该村2023年被列入。[1][4]

2024年3月，村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
