东青社区是东港镇的居民社区，属镇中心区，是镇内唯一的居委会。社区名取自两个村子的非农业居民各出一字。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

早先居民事务由工商系统分段管理：先是工商联合会，其后为工商综合商店管理会，1968年起划归东港大队，1979年后又回到工商综合管理会的管辖之下。[1]

1984年9月正式设立东青居委会，2002年改为东青社区居委会，此名沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，社区上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
