见龙村位于镇东面约6千米、总铺洋下游，属隆江镇，是镇中较大的村庄。村名经过：南宋时此地称龙头，新中国成立后改称见龙。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

1253年，林氏的三子定居于今见龙头。村后的山脉起伏如龙，形似龙首，故称龙头，又名下陇头；新中国成立后改为见龙。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后办过初、高级社，1958年至1983年为见龙大队，1983年至1986年设见龙乡政府，1987年至1989年改为村委会，1989年至1999年为管理区，1999年又为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，见龙村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2023年5月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
