古巷村在东陇镇，村子是纯农业村，也属贫困村。全村下有古巷、埔美、桂林三个自然村，村委会设于古巷。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村地古时是“沽港”的淤积地。“沽港”经过历史演变，被简写为“古巷”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋徽宗年间（1101～1125年），林氏从福建莆田县迁到惠城北门外的涂角村分居，十多年后才转居此地。[1]
公社化期间（1958年至1970年），古巷村与石洲、华吴两村合在一起，称华石大队；1972年古巷又单独成立大队。1983年至1986年为古巷乡政府，1987年至1989年为村委会，1989年至1999年为古巷管理区，1999年才改设古巷村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，古巷村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
