四凤村临海，属革命老区村，也列为贫困村。全村共含四个自然村：后堀、后吴、后宫和乌石。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村委会设在后堀村，后堀又叫凤阙村。新中国成立之后，它同后吴（又称凤梧）、后宫（又称凤岗）、乌石（又称凤镇）等村合为一个村级单位。四村的别名里都有“凤”字，所以取名四凤。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
南宋淳熙十年（1183年），吴氏从福建莆田迁来此地定居。[1]
新中国成立前，当地人称之为“五乡吴”或“五观乡”。新中国成立后改称四凤大队；1983年起称四凤乡政府；1987年起为四凤村委会；1989年之后是四凤管理区办事处的时代；1999年复为村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，四凤村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
