茶铺村位于华湖镇区东部，距镇政府约1.5公里，葵和公路从村北穿过。村名与一段关于“茶”“布”二姓的传说有关，后演变为现名。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传明初有“茶”“布”两姓先后在此创村。一次朝廷差役路过歇脚，乡人没能好好招待，差役便丢下金银离去，乡人因此被报为抢劫者，遭到查剿，村子也就散了。之后又有外来人口迁入，为纪念两姓，取名“茶布”，后因“布”与“铺”发音相近，演变为“茶铺”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国初设有农会。1952至1958年，此地与周边几村同属春茶乡；1958年9月起成为茶铺大队，直到1973年2月；1973年3月分出，重新独立。1983至1986年为乡政府，1987至1994年为管理区，1999年改为村委会。[1]
人口与耕地[edit]
博雅地名网记全村现有人口3038人，劳动力900多人。耕地700多亩，山地1000多亩。[1]
经济与教育[edit]
村民主要种植荔枝、龙眼，经济作物有薏米、大蒜、蔬菜，粮食作物以水稻和番薯为主。荔枝种植面积已达700多亩。村中有小学一所，在校学生450人。[1]
