白塔村位于华湖镇北部，与汕头市潮南区雷岭镇接壤，是一个纯农业的老革命苏区。村名源于明初迁来的曾氏，他们的故里是揭阳的白塔。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明初期，揭阳白塔的曾姓人家到此定居，因来自故里白塔而命名。[1]

国内革命战争时期，村中是老革命干部领导革命的主要活动区域。[1]

人口与耕地[edit]

全村154户、997人，有劳力400人，其中约200人外出打工，去处多为广州、深圳、潮南区与普宁（博雅地名网）。耕地只有220亩，水田150亩，另有70亩旱田园；山地则达3500亩。[1][2]

经济[edit]

山上种有荔枝约1000亩，又栽速生桉1000亩，大片山地仍未开垦。村民以种植水稻、荔枝、龙眼、香蕉和瓜菜为主要收入。[1][2]

2009年村民人均收入为2470元，低于全县和全镇的平均水平。[1]

2024年，白塔村是广东省「百千万工程」首批典型村之一，村中以百香果种植和奇楠沉香种植为特色产业，村北山脚下的白塔水库为农业生产提供水源。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2024年4月，白塔村入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
