华陇村位于惠来县城南部，村址靠近雷岭河下游，县城中心区规划将其纳入控制范围。村由华英、陇美、后谢三个自然村组成，各取二村首字得名。抗日名将翁照恒是村中人。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1999年，惠来县人民政府批准设立华陇村委会。建国后此处称华英乡；1958年人民公社时期又叫华陇大队；1983至1986年改称华陇乡政府，1987至1999年为华陇管理区，村址设在华英村。[1][3]

人口与自然环境[edit]

博雅地名网记全村有人口5560人，山地9000亩，耕地1600亩。村子处在北回归线之南，气候属亚热带季风型。[2][1]

村中种植水稻、蕃薯、蔬菜、西瓜、荔枝和龙眼，以粮食、水果、蔬菜种植为主。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

华英古寨的修建可追溯到1166年（南宋乾道二年），寨墙围成圆形，四面各开一门。该寨于2017年列入县级文物保护。[4]

著名人物[edit]

翁照恒是抗日名将，华陇村是他的故乡。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

华陇村于2019年9月进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
