华谢村位于惠来县城东南面，与县城接壤，属县城南区规划控制区。村中谢氏自北宋时期迁居此地，聚落形成已久。早年村名写作“下谢”，建国后才改称华谢。明代出过谢正蒙，双过谢山峰上的宝峰岩也留存至今。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

谢氏先祖在1018至1023年间（北宋时期）从潮安翔龙大窖乡迁来，定居在县城东南约1.5公里处。因村址低平、全村皆为谢姓，取名“下谢”。[1][3]

土改期间，村里先后组织了互助组、初级社和高级社，此时与毗邻村庄合并为一个大队。1983年华谢单独设立乡政府，1986至1999年为管理区，1999年以后称村委会。[1][4]

人口与耕地[edit]

村民主要种植水稻和花生，山地上种有油茶。[1][2]

2026年1月，华谢村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

宝峰岩又称双过谢庵，位于双过谢山峰上，为明代建筑，旧时曾作航海导航的地标。村中还存有谢正蒙的遗像石刻。[3][2]

著名人物[edit]

谢正蒙（1563～1631年），字子圣，明万历十六年（1588年）中举。此后他在湖广做过安乡县令，又任监察御史和直隶巡按。[1][2][3][5]
