华堡社区的前身是华堡居委会，设于1999年，2004年改为现名，此名沿用至今。[1]

社区总人口2843人，共890户，居民以企事业单位职工为主。居民分散住在全县各处，人户分离的情况比较普遍。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，华堡社区进入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
