后洋村位于惠来县惠城镇山区北面约15公里处，西距山美长戈水库约1公里，属革命老区村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村庄建在“百龙坑”后的一片田上，当地称田为“洋”，故名后洋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明崇祯年间，夏姓自福建莆田迁来定居。新中国成立初期办过初级社和高级社。1958年改为后洋大队，隶属河林公社。[1]

1983年后并入乡一级政府，1987年拆出设后洋管区，1999年改设后洋村委会。河林乡撤销后归惠城镇管辖。下辖后洋、钟丘洋两个自然村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，后洋村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2021年12月，获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2022年10月，经广东省农业农村厅认定为「2022年广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」（生猪）。[1]
