洋美社区位于惠来县惠城镇城区南面，西至揭神路，北至南环一路，南至南环二路。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年后办过初级社和高级社，原属墩南乡。1957年划归东陇乡，次年重归惠城公社，隶属墩高大队。1962年单设洋美大队；此后1983年为洋美乡，1987年成为洋美管理区。[1]
1999年村委会成立，2002年改设洋美社区居委会，沿用至今。[1]
地理与社会[edit]
居民以种植反季节蔬菜为主，兼营商贸和务工，反季节蔬菜是社区的主要生产特色。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，洋美社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
