沿革[edit]

1958年至1983年间为生产大队。1984年起改设四新乡政府，1986年成为四新村委会，1990年设管理区办事处，1999年复为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，四新村被广东省乡村振兴局确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。2021年9月，四新村的番薯被列入第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]

员山坝水稻基地[edit]

员山坝优质水稻基地依托360亩连片农田，经营主体为揭西县金园生态农业发展有限公司，以规模化方式运作。基地选用高产抗病品种，运用无人机统防统治等技术，所产「榄树香」大米2021年入选「一村一品」项目。[2]
