后洋村位于大溪镇东北部，地处榕江北岸。该村建于1890年，建村者来自外地，取名缘于开基之初前高后低的地势。[1]

2021年12月，该村获广东省爱卫会授予的「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1983年设区、乡后，该地属大溪区；1986年12月起为大溪镇后洋管理区，1999年起称大溪镇后洋村民委员会。更早时，1949年至1950年隶属南联区大溪乡，1950年至1958年属五联区，1958年9月起归钱坑人民公社。[2]
