山湖村位于金和镇与凤江镇的交界地带，是金和镇乡村旅游的主要村落，村内有山湖景区。[4]

据博雅地名网，全村总人口6433人，分为六个村民小组，耕地面积2150亩，党员110人，统计年份未注；百度百科所载人口数字相同。[1][2]

景区与产业[edit]

据镇政府2026年4月发布的工作报告，山湖村已获评国家3A级旅游景区，景区是镇里农文旅融合的核心。镇里还整合南侨中学旧址等红色资源，打造红色研学加乡村旅游的线路。[4]

村内有广东省无公害水产养殖基地，村民还供奉黄石公的青竹庵。山湖村竹笋也被列为镇里的特色农业项目之一。[2][4]

广东省文化和旅游厅在2019年9月认定山湖村为首批「广东省文化和旅游特色村」。[2]

2019年12月，山湖村列入国家林业和草原局公布的第二批「国家森林乡村」名单。[2]

2020年8月，山湖村入选第二批「全国乡村旅游重点村」名单。[1][2]

2020年12月，第二届「广东十大美丽乡村」评选揭晓，山湖村获评「广东十大美丽乡村」。[3]

2020年12月，山湖村上榜「2020年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[2]

2021年9月，山湖村被认定为第二批「全国乡村治理示范村」。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

1999年又改为山湖村委会，名称至今未变；1990年改为山湖管理区；1986年称村委会；1984年撤销生产大队，设山湖乡政府；1958年设山湖大队。[2]
