玉石村位于棉湖镇东北部，距镇区约8公里，与普宁市洪阳、南溪两地接壤，西与贡山村相连。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期（1912年至1949年）村地为普宁贡山乡第15保，解放后仍属普宁贡山乡。1958年至1983年称玉石大队，1984年改设玉石乡政府，1986年为村委会，1990年为管理区办事处，1999年复称村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2008年，村党总支被广东省委评为「先进基层党组织」。[1]2023年5月，村获广东省爱卫会授予的「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
