南新村位于河婆街道西南部，紧接县城城区，交通便利，是河婆街道下辖的行政村之一[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1958年至1983年属南新生产大队，此后于1984年2月改设南新乡政府，1990年成为南新管理区办事处，1999年才设南新村委会，沿用至今[1]。

社区荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，广东省爱卫会评定南新村为「2022年广东省卫生村」。2019年9月，南新村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
