马头村位于县城河婆西面，离县城约2.5公里，是河婆街道下辖的行政村之一[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

解放初期称马头乡；1958年至1983年归生产大队管辖；1984年改设马头乡政府；1986年才成为马头村委会；1990年11月设管理区办事处；1999年改称马头村民委员会[1]。

名人[edit]

黄居谷（1910—1937年），原名国盘，马头村人，天资聪颖，曾在河婆大光学校读书[1]。黄炳南（1867—1941年），又名纲宁，少年家贫，1884年独自赴印尼勿里洞做矿工[2]。

社区荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，马头村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。2019年9月，马头村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
