北坑村位于河婆街道北部山区，距县城约4.5公里，下辖8个自然村[1]。

地名由来[edit]

本地人称小溪为“坑”，村内各自然村位于溪流北侧，村名因此而来，村委会也设在本村[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

此地1958年至1983年属生产大队，1984年2月起改设北坑乡政府，1990年成为北坑管理区办事处，1999年才称北坑村民委员会[1]。

名人[edit]

张介萍（1920—1948年）生于北坑村，后随父亲迁居河婆镇。他小学毕业后在河婆大华小学任教，喜爱木刻[2]。
