新岭村背靠大岽山，地处车田河中游北岸，属榕江三级支流一带。村名的来历是：村子背靠大岽山，前面有大岭横亘，故称新岭。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明万历年间村子始创。清朝归梅岗都崇义乡；民国时属揭阳县第4区梅北乡；1949年划入揭阳县梅岗区；1957年归揭阳县埔田乡管；1961年改属埔田人民公社。1986年起设新岭村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年8月，新岭村以竹笋入选「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」。[1]

2026年1月，新岭村获「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」称号。[1]

基础设施[edit]

十四五期间，村里整建制推行“三线”整治，这一做法在全市得到推广。[2]
