林厝村位于玉湖镇中心区域，镇里的主要道路贯穿村中，交通便利，村中有部分区域已形成集市。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村内耕地538.9亩，山地270亩，共463户、2255人，党员54名，村两委干部5名，资料年份未注明。[1]
农业以种植经济作物和鱼池为主，商业以个体经营户为主，集体经济非常薄弱。[1][2]
2024年政府工作报告称，林厝农贸市场已建成，林厝村的美丽宜居乡村示范村项目已完成招投标。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
明末已有村落，称林厝。新中国成立后归新亨区，1958年改由玉湖公所管理，1960年组成林厝大队。1965年，村子并入泽联大队，设为林厝单元；1984年，此地设立村公所；1986年，村委会正式成立。[1]
