坪埔村是新亨镇下辖的行政村，紧邻206国道与揭丰公路的交汇处，就在镇政府旁。村域面积2.3平方千米，博雅地名网载总人口8100人、1692户。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明末清初有人在此创寨。1950年属新联乡，1983年改设新亨区坪铺乡，1986年起设村民委员会。[1]

据百度百科，钟姓的先祖在明末由福建永定迁到广东大埔县，之后才在此地定居，聚成村落。村下辖月地下、寨前、面前领三个自然村。[3]

产业[edit]

村中以竹笋种植为主，博雅地名网载年产量达36000吨。村中还有渔池养殖，在家的妇女从事珠绣，产品每年创造外汇。[1][2]
