村庄处在揭东县城中心，靠近国道206线与省道335线交会处的东北角。原有耕地约820亩，其中650亩被国家征用。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代时此地已有村落，名为寨内。1958年起属曲溪公社的寨内大队，1986年析置寨二村委会。2009年，本村改制为社区居委会（百度百科）。[1][2]

经济与文化[edit]

村民由农业转向二、三产业，多在城区边缘上市经商。集体与村民合计投资近1500万元，沿省道池樟线建起170多间商住两用楼房，经营项目包括床垫制作、汽车修配、副食品批发和五金加工等。辖区内的跃龙桥被列为县级文物保护单位，全部用石料建成，属三洲二墩的桥梁，建成至今已六百余年；每年正月十一，村里举办行头桥民俗活动。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年，寨二村为省级美丽乡村示范村，村里还建成精品文明实践站。[3]
