港口社区位于揭阳经济开发试验区的中心地带，是试验区管理委员会的驻地。社区原为港口村，东面临榕江南河，河岸上有两个5000吨级的深水码头。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

港口原为一个村，2009年上半年撤村改居，成为社区。社区曾先后获得市、省两级团委授予的「共青新村」荣誉。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区辖区总面积1800多亩，依江而立，道路四通八达，适宜发展工业、商业与物流业。[1]

人口与文化[edit]

社区居民930户，总人口4143人（未注年份）。社区内有中学和小学各一所，市场等配套设施也较完备。[1]

历史遗存有庆德善堂、三山国王庙等。[1]
