桂南村位于揭阳市西北部，紫峰山脚下，省道S236线从村中穿过，是仙桥街道的城乡结合区村。[1]
人口民族[edit]
设3个经联社。居民6096人，1259户；耕地1442亩，山坡林地有4000多亩，内含2000多亩生态公益林。[1]
经济[edit]
五金扎钢与花木特色农业撑起本村经济，村里有13家轧钢、五金厂。2008年，社区工农业总产值达50920万元，人均收入为5442元。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
桂竹园绥福岩是远近闻名的游览地。岩上一块天然巨石三面悬空，自成岩穴；岩前是碧绿的潭水，岸边有名家石刻，岩石上还留着仙脚印等古迹。紫峰山上另有风动石，山间水库清亮如镜。[1]
桂竹园位于紫峰山南麓，景区内有桂竹园岩、丁日昌墓、水流河水库等古迹，桂竹园岩是元明时期形成的天然岩洞。丁日昌墓目前为揭阳市文物保护单位。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
解放初称屯桂南乡，归十五区；1950年改屯桂乡，属安乐区；1956年撤区并乡，归古溪乡。1958年为永西管区，划归安乐公社；1962年改为永西大队，属仙桥镇；1972年分出桂林、东红、东泰三个大队；1983年，桂竹园与泰南合组为桂南乡；2009年设桂南村，属仙桥街道。[1]
2022年10月，桂南村列入2022年淘宝村名单。「广东省卫生村」（2023年）的称号于2024年3月授予本村。[1]
