上东村属广东省潮州市饶平县大埕镇，地处饶平县东端，东面与福建省诏安县相邻，南面是南海大埕湾，全村约1.2万人。[1] 据百度百科，宋代至清代村中出过进士10人、举人36人，因此获称「名贤故里」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年至1990年间，该村先后称乡、称大队、称管理区，其间1986年与1999年两度设立村委会，今仍为村委会建制。[3]

据维基百科所引的姓氏记载，宋末，福建龙溪人陈睦迁来此村定居，为上东村陈氏始祖；明初，陈质庵自福建诏安县迁来置业。明洪武五年（1372）赖慎言从福建平和县迁入，其二世祖上石公于明永乐二十年（1422）建成赖氏宗祠永裕堂。明洪武十四年（1381），惠州通判郑励迁入创业；明成化十一年（1475），林氏自福建迁入，林氏宗祠建于明朝。[2]

据百度百科，村民以海洋捕捞和鲍鱼育苗养殖为主业，鲍鱼养殖的规模为1006亩，产值一年可达1.71亿元。[1] 该村构建了三级党建网格，设有8类无职党员岗位。[1]

文化[edit]

陈天资为明代人，官至湖广左布政使，返乡后编成《东里志》。[1] 维基百科载，村中上东大庙供奉地头老爷。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年，上东村获评「广东省爱国拥军模范单位」。[1] 2023年4月，该村在「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单中。[3]
