桃西村在汤溪镇辖区内，是该镇的行政村之一。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1951年，桃西乡成立，属浮山区。修建汤溪水库时，桃园、桃花两村被水淹没，村民被迫外迁；1961年才回到现址，并恢复旧村名，成为桃西大队。[1]
1983年，溪头乡设立，辖区含今桃西、溪头、北坑三村，隶汤溪区。1986年桃西村委会成立，隶汤溪乡；1990年为桃西管理区，属汤溪镇；1999年复设村委会，沿用至今。[1]
文化[edit]
2026年3月，桃西村被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1] 2023年4月，桃西村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1] 2020年12月，村庄获广东省爱卫会授予的「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
