历史沿革[edit]

1951年，此地称南新乡，属饶平县第三区；1958年改称南新大队，归三饶公社。[1]

1983年改称南新乡，隶属三饶区；1986年改为南新村委会，属三饶镇；1990年设南新管理区；1999年设立南新村委会，沿用至今。[2]

经济[edit]

首批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单于2020年8月公布，南新村列名其中，主导产品为棱尖橄榄。[1]
