楠木翁村是文祠镇北部的行政村，面积约1.2平方千米，人口约350人（百度百科，年份未注）。村名与旧时四周多楠木有关，又称翁厝。[2][1]

村史[edit]

1748年，翁木自水南都迁居此地，当时村中已有江、文、刘、巫四姓，现只剩翁姓。这一带于1958年公社化时归北社大队；1973年另立翁厝大队，1981年改为楠木翁大队，1999年起设为村民委员会。[1][2]

产业与环境[edit]

山地1407亩，耕地235亩，农业以橄榄为主。2021年8月，被认定为「2020年广东省森林乡村」。[1][2]

村中在全镇率先推行「稻田认种认购」新模式，复垦撂荒地种植生态有机稻米，并开展人居环境整治和植树造林。[2]
