上赤村是文祠镇下辖的行政村，由曾厝、桐树下、长美3个自然村组成，位于赤水村上方，又称上赤水。[1]
村史[edit]
曾厝一带又称赤水曾。1561年（明嘉靖四十年），曾振明自兴宁迁居此地。桐树下为廖姓，长美为张姓。村原属归湖，称上赤乡；1958年划入文祠公社，由八个自然村合组赤水大队；1976年以村名设上赤大队；1999年起改设村民委员会。[1]
人口与产业[edit]
山地1503亩，耕地293亩；2005年统计为772人，分属173户。农业以橄榄为主。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
