村史[edit]
林积儒是本村开基之人，原住潮州城望京楼，于1599年（明万历二十七年）前来建村。1973年设赤内大队，1999年起改设村民委员会。[1][2]
人口与产业[edit]
山地1139亩，耕地220亩；枇杷与柿子是本村特色。2005年本村计有520人，分属120户。百度百科另载总户数124户、人口514人，年份未注。[1][2]
侨乡与名胜[edit]
清道光十五年（1835年）以来，陆续有1200多名乡亲出洋，侨居东南亚一带。[1]
村内的婆姐岭古道于2016年列为「潮州市文物保护单位」，年代尚待确定。[3]

2019年9月，本村上榜2018年度省民主法治示范村创建名单。[1]
