小行村是文祠镇下辖的行政村，由杨厝、莲塘廖、陈厝3个自然村组成。村名的来历与早年村前道路行人往来、小贩聚集的情形有关。[1]
村史[edit]
解放前此地属西湖辖地，称小城村，1949年后改名小行村。1958年公社化后割属文祠，划入赤水大队；1973年以村落总称设小行大队；1999年起改设小行村民委员会。[1]
三个自然村各有开基者：廖华于雍正年间（1735年）从登荣都石头坑来此；杨叟三在明崇祯九年（1636年）自大埔白豪迁入；陈南阳于明洪武十八年（1385年）由泉州莆田迁来。[1]
人口与产业[edit]
山地750亩，耕地179亩。截至2005年，本村有120户、506人，农业以橄榄、杨梅为主。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，本村进入2018年度省民主法治示范村创建名单。[1]
