坪坑村是文祠镇下辖的行政村，由谢厝、张厝、堤头、寨后、黄土溜5个自然村组成，主村为张厝。村名取自此地山路崎岖、盼望道路平坦之意。[1]

村史[edit]

1711年，张镝万由登荣合佩到此开基创乡，地点即今主村张厝。1958年公社化后原属东社大队，1963年划归意溪大队，1975年分出另设坪坑大队，1999年起改设坪坑村民委员会。[1]

人口与产业[edit]

截至2005年，本村有59户、237人。耕地135亩。农业以茶叶、香黄瓜为主。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，本村进入2018年度省民主法治示范村创建名单。2021年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
