文祠镇位于潮州市潮安区东北部山区，距潮州市区约12千米，东与饶平县相接，北靠凤凰镇，西邻归湖镇。全镇辖1个社区和22个行政村，镇政府驻文祠集镇，当地俗称文祠市。[1][2][4][5]

历史沿革[edit]

唐末宋初已有先民在此定居。北宋至清初，这里属海阳郡登瀛都；清代至民国时期称登荣都。集镇在清初成圩，圩内建有文章祠，此后便以“文祠”为地名。[3][4]

1914年（民国三年）起，此地划入潮安县登荣区；1930年（民国十九年）与意溪合并为荣意区；1946年分出，改属登荣乡，1949年再与意溪合并。1952年设文祠区人民政府，1958年9月并入意溪人民公社，1961年4月分出单独成立公社，1980年起改由文祠公社管理委员会负责，1983年11月又设为文祠区公所，1987年2月改为文祠镇人民政府。2013年6月28日，潮安县撤销，设立潮安区，文祠镇属潮安区。[3][4]

博雅地名网的镇级概述所记年份与此不同，它把文祠列为1956年的乡、1960年的公社，并以1987年为建镇之年，此处以历史沿革页为准。[2][3]

人口与经济[edit]

2002年，工农业总产值达2.0亿元，农民人均收入2786元。[2]

农民人均纯收入4127元，农业生产总值8300万元（2011年末）；至2019年末，户籍人数18738人，镇内工业企业共22家，规模以上的为2家。[4]

水果种植[edit]

文祠镇素有「水果之乡」的称号，果树栽培历史悠久。产品以橄榄为主，另有枇杷、杨梅、青梅、柿子和黄皮，「文祠橄榄」与「鸭背柿」颇负盛名。据2002年的数字，水果种植面积为21997亩，茶园1620亩，当年大规模引进「早钟六号」枇杷与「东魁」杨梅。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

婆姐岭古道位于赤内村，2016年列入「潮州市文物保护单位」，年代尚待确定。[6]

百度百科列出的著名景点还有永安门、廖氏大夫第，以及「三叠泉」旅游驿站景区。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2017年9月，省林业部门认定本镇为「2017年广东省森林小镇」。2025年8月，文祠镇入选广东省第三批「百千万工程」专业镇建设名单。[1]
