田东村是潮安区归湖镇下辖的行政村，距镇区约5公里。它东面与文祠镇交界，南面接仙洋村，西面连着神前村，北面与梨下村相邻。村域面积1.53平方公里，共5个村民小组。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村庄创立于明万历年间，早先有赖、彭、陈、李、江、文六姓居住。民国初年，赖姓之外的各姓合为一姓，称「伍」姓。[2]

伍氏家族于1924年办起的学校，如今仍然完好。[2]

经济[edit]

村民的收入主要靠大面积种植的橄榄树，此外有柑桔和少量青梅。随着农业科技的推广应用，橄榄果实的品质有了明显提高。[2]

文化[edit]

2020年12月，广东省爱卫会授予田东村「广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
