龙口村是潮安区江东镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域东部，东倚韩江堤岸，北与井美村接壤，西至红砂村，南与横坑村相接。村中以刘、江两姓为主。村名取自村址对着澄海隆都的龙门关口，因以得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，刘氏先祖华文、励行两公于明朝正德年间自意溪东津桃坑迁来，最初选址在澄海隆都龙门关对岸，后因地势关系，村址北移，村名仍沿用原名。江姓先祖福元公则于明朝嘉靖年间由文祠移居此地。[1]

村民一直以“发家洲”称呼村前的洲园，洲园面积约1350亩，是村民发展特色产品、增加收入的所在。解放初期，潮安县政府确认了龙口洲的范围并立下界石。[1]

1958年，村以村名设立龙口大队；1999年改为龙口村民委员会，此名沿用至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子处于平原地带，全村面积约1540多亩，耕地900多亩，土层深厚肥沃。村前堤外有一处“石跛脚”渡口，对岸即潮澄边界。[1]

人口民族[edit]

据博雅地名网，村中现有650多户、2800多人，较解放初增加一倍多。该网站未注明统计年份。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种植水稻、甘蔗、花生、黄麻为主，后来发展潮州柑、蕃石榴、竹笋和玉米等特色农产品。据博雅地名网，2005年，全村人均收入超过3900元。[1]

20世纪50年代末，村里办起江东镇唯一的砖瓦厂，又建有贝灰生产厂。1958年，村中建成江东第一个粮食加工厂，1963年毁于火灾，次年在原址附近重建。60年代初，村中办起花生榨油厂；70年代初，又办起竹器加工厂，制作箩、筐等农用器具。80年代以后，村里陆续办起服装、机绣加工场十几个，多为家庭作坊。[2]

2019年9月，龙口村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
