外文村是潮安区庵埠镇下辖的行政村，位于潮汕公路东侧，离镇政府驻地约0.7千米。村内现存清代的杨氏家庙，为潮州市文物保护单位。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，先人自福建迁至揭阳凤湖，南宋庆元五年移居龙溪都鸡坞，在此创立西陇村；明正德年间此地改称文里。[2]

据百度百科，1904年潮汕铁路修建时，此地被铁路分割，遂称外文里，后简称外文村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

杨氏家庙建于清代，属三进祠堂，是博雅地名网所载的潮州市文物保护单位之一。[3]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，村庄列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，村庄先后入选淘宝村名单。[2]
