新光村是广东省潮州市潮安区东凤镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西北部，与彩塘、金石、龙湖三镇接壤。博雅地名网记载，村的面积约38万平方米，人口一千五百多人（未注明统计年份）。村属潮汕地区的革命老区之一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村原名新乡，清乾隆年间（1736年），凤塘南陇陈氏先祖达生公在此创乡。1949年以前村属隆津都；1949年至1952年间归潮安县第十区管辖，区政府驻浮洋；1954年至1956年仍归该区，区政府迁往金石；1957年改归龙湖乡。[1]

公社化期间，本村并入大巷、庄西陇组成的新大陇大队；1971年才独立为新光大队。1987年4月起设村民委员会，1991年改为管理区，1998年又复为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2019年9月，村进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的名单。[1]
  • 2020年12月，广东省爱卫会授予村「2020年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。[1]
  • 2024年1月，村被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
