金石镇是广东省潮州市潮安区下辖的镇，位于区城西北部，地处韩江三角洲平原，西南靠近桑浦山。镇政府驻地北距潮州市区19千米。[1][2]

全镇辖1个社区和21个行政村。镇名的由来，据博雅地名网所载：南宋淳祐八年（1248年）福建南部居民迁来此地定居，结社盟誓，取情谊坚如金石之意而得名。明代状元林大钦即出生于今镇域之内。[2][6]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元明清时期，村落分属海阳县内的东莆、上莆、隆津三个都。1914年（民国三年）海阳改名潮安，原先的都改设为区。[4]

新中国成立后，1950年归潮安县第七区管辖。1953年5月这些村分出，与石鼓、古楼等村合设第十区，两年后第十区更名为金石区。1956年初区改为乡，年末三乡并为金石乡；1958年9月又与沙溪乡合组潮安县金石公社，沙溪于1961年4月另立公社。[4]

1983年7月改为潮州市金石区；1987年3月再撤区设镇，定名潮州市金石镇；潮安县于1992年复置后，镇名随之改为潮安县金石镇。2013年6月28日，经国务院同意，潮安县撤县设区，本镇随之划归潮安区。[1][4]

地理环境[edit]

镇域东面与龙湖镇、东凤镇相连，西面与沙溪镇毗邻，东南接彩塘镇，西北与浮洋镇交界，西南靠桑浦山。镇政府驻地向南至潮安区城约9.6千米。全镇面积的说法不一：百度百科作22.46平方千米，博雅地名网作约23平方千米。[1][2]

人口与经济[edit]

2019年末，全镇户籍人口为75483人。博雅地名网载2002年底的总人口为64585人，另有海外侨胞、同胞两万多人。[1][3]

据2002年统计，全镇工农业总产值合计11.42亿元，农业部分为1.24亿元，余下的10.18亿元出自工业。[3] 2011年的统计显示，财政总收入为6250万元，税收为2481万元。[1] 2019年，镇内规模以上工业企业15个，工业企业合计368个；另有营业面积超过50平方米的综合商店或超市25个。[1]

工业以食品、家具、服装、毛织、五金机械和电子等行业为主。翁厝村栽种花木的传统延续了400多年，全镇花木按春节时花、绿化苗木、鲜切花等类别计，有800多个品种，其中「大型古典树桩」为潮汕地区所特有。[3]

文化与荣誉[edit]

博雅地名网称，金石镇是广东省首批「民族民间艺术之乡」，镇内有24所中小学，金石文化站被定为省一级文化站。[3]

2018年5月，金石镇（嵌瓷）列入「2018-2020年度广东省民间文化艺术之乡」名单。2019年11月，金石镇获「2019年广东省森林小镇」称号。2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，「2020年淘宝镇」「2021年淘宝镇」「2022年淘宝镇」名单先后发布，金石镇均在列。2026年5月，金石镇进入「广东省第一批小城市试点培育名单」。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

宗山书院牌坊立于塔下村的中离溪边，建于1532年（嘉靖十一年），出资兴建者是行人司司正薛侃，为的是纪念其老师王阳明。祠堂已毁，仅存石牌坊，坊额刻「宗山书院」，背面刻「仰止」。1987年由潮州市公布为文物保护单位；2019年，它与相关石刻被纳入「第九批广东省文物保护单位」。[5][8]

中离溪石刻中，「开溪记」记述薛侃开挖中离溪的经过及其得益，「嗣浚中离溪记」则记述约九十年后溪道淤塞、后人重新疏浚的始末。[5]

金石天褒节孝牌坊在辜厝村，为「天褒节孝」石牌坊。据乾隆《潮州府志》，此坊是为辜廷材之妻蔡氏而建。光绪《海阳县志》载，旧时海阳县此类牌坊有二十一座，此后大多不存，今潮安境内仅余龙湖镇塘东村与金石辜厝村两处。博雅地名网将其列为广东省文物保护单位。[5][11]

林大钦生于1511年、卒于1545年，明嘉靖年间状元，别号东莆，表字敬夫。他出生于海阳县东莆都仙都村，今属仙都三村。百度百科载其嘉靖十一年（1532年）中状元，维基百科所述相同；博雅地名网林大钦墓条目则写作「嘉靖辛卯（公元1531年）状元及第」，两说年份不同。[6][7][9][10]

其墓址在桑浦山的状元埔，朝西南，立有碑亭。1987年由潮州市定为文保单位，2012年经广东省政府公布为省级文保单位。[9][10]

辜朝荐（1598年—1668年）为明末清初大臣，出生于海阳县大寨，即今辜厝村。[12]
