建村[edit]
博雅地名网称，村子创乡于宋理宗“定庚申年”。原文的年号不完整，未注公元纪年，本条目不作推算。[1]
历代人物[edit]
苏志仁，以礼经中试，为明嘉靖甲辰科（1544年）进士，授中宪大夫、吏部主事，曾历任江西兵备签事与福建提学副使。嘉靖甲辰即1544年，与所记纪年相符。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立后，村属鹤陇乡；公社化建队时，命名为西和大队。此后，1999年起改设西和村民委员会，至今仍用此名。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村」创建单位名单。2021年12月，获「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉。2022年10月，村列入淘宝村名单。[1]
