白云村是登塘镇下辖的行政村，位于登塘墟东面约2公里处，全村面积0.7平方公里。[1]

村名源于村后的白云山。村子创于明朝末年，最初由饶平县三饶大树下的陈、叶两家迁来，两姓至今仍在，陈姓的人口增长更快。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，村子以本村名组成白云大队；1999年，改设白云村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以农林业为生，主要种水稻和甘薯，耕地580亩。山地种杉、松、竹，另有生柑、茶叶、菠萝和杂果。[1][2]

白云村先后入选「2020年淘宝村」（2020年9月公布）、「2021年淘宝村」（2021年10月发布）和「2022年淘宝村」（2022年10月发布）名单。[1]

文化[edit]

1975年村里建起一所小学；1983年改建为两层钢筋水泥教学楼，1985年在校小学生182人，入学率96%。村内设有青年文化室、老年人活动场所和幼儿园。[2]

1985年，白云村被评为汕头市精神文明先进单位。村东有一座蟹壳形的古寨；村南约4公里的桃仔戈上，原有白云庵，1958年拆除，庵址仍可辨认。[2]

2020年12月，广东省爱卫会授予白云村「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
