南城社区位于南头镇中心区，由原南城村改制为居委会，并于2011年与南头社区居民委员会合并而成，共有27个居民小组。社区所在地原为南城村驻地晋丰村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1955年此地称南头区团结乡，1957年改称南头乡团结村，1961年改属南头公社团结大队，1974年一分为二，设南头、汲水两个大队。2001年11月前，南头与汲水分属两个村民委员会，同年合并设南城村委会；博雅地名网的历史页记合并于2001年11月，村情页则记为2001年12月开始合并，两处日期不一致。[1][2]

2010年1月，经中山市人民政府批复，南城村民委员会改制为南城社区居民委员会。2011年，南城社区与南头社区居民委员会合并：村情页记为2011年2月24日，历史页记为2011年3月，两处日期不一致。合并后的社区下设27个居民小组，共10907人，占地4.2平方公里。[1][2]

地理与人口[edit]

在合并前，原南城村位于石岐北偏西约23.5公里、南头镇政府西北约1公里处，驻地设在晋丰村，下辖八个自然村，有22个居民小组，人口为5700人。[2]

原南头村民委员会辖晋丰、联丰、排坎、近南四个自然村，驻地晋丰，人口2620人。原汲水村民委员会辖排安、新聚、聚胜、碑亭四个自然村，驻地排安，村情页未注人口。[2]

经济[edit]

原南城村以工业为主。原南头村耕地有1314亩，作物以塘鱼、甘蔗、蚕桑为大宗，另有酒厂、制衣厂等企业15家；原汲水村早期以塘鱼、甘蔗和蚕桑为主，现已以工业为主。这些情况均据村情页所述，未注年份。[2]

文化[edit]

2020年12月，南城社区进入广东省民主法治示范村（社区）的创建名单；2021年12月，社区取得中山市绿色社区的认定，为2021年度；2026年1月，它被评为广东省第二批百千万工程的典型村。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

晋丰村有一座孔明庙，始建于光绪十年，即1884年，1985年10月重修。村内另有小学与社区卫生站。[2]
