中南村是港口镇北部的行政村，毗邻阜沙镇，地势平坦。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

此地由浅滩淤积成陆的时间在15世纪，属大南沙。1951年1月，它为中山县第十区大南乡的一部分。1981年8月，中南村分为莲花、卫国两个生产大队；1984年2月，又分设莲花乡（白花、莲花合并）与卫国乡。[2]

1986年12月，中南村划为莲花、白花、石基、老河四个村委会。1990年12月设四个管理区，1998年9月撤销管理区，改为村民委员会。2001年6月，四村合并为中南村民委员会。[2][4]

地名由来[edit]

村子地处大南围，按上、中、下排序，此地居中，村委会驻地也设于此，因而名为中南。[5]

人口民族[edit]

户籍人口8704人，合计1646户（截至2023年12月）；常住及流动人口约10238人。村内共37个村民小组，有村民代表125名。村党组织设党支部28个，党员211名。[2]

另一处（百度百科）给出的数字不同：户籍8615人，时间为2022年12月；常住及流动人口则写作约1.02万人。[3]

地理环境[edit]

地势平坦，主要河涌11条，总长32公里。[2][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

莲花驿站党员专题教育基地于2021年2月修建。同年11月，村里建成了抗日游击小队旧址纪念亭，该纪念亭自2024年7月1日起对外开放。[2][3]

百度百科另列渡头公园、二十四田园农场和苏岑份绿道。[3]

经济[edit]

2023年，村级集体收入约267.8万元，生产小组的经济总收入约2460.3万元。[2]

百度百科另有一组数字：2022年的集体收入约281万元，生产小组合计2372万元。它称中南村为省级「一村一品、一镇一业」水产养殖专业村，并记2024年获评「中山市水污染治理工作表现突出单位」。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2026年3月，中南村被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」。2021年9月，中南村列入第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单（水产养殖）。2019年9月，中南村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]

村先后获得「广东省卫生村」「中山市卫生村」「中山市宜居示范村庄」和「文明村」等称号。[2]
